More than 200 healthcare professionals gathered at Frankfurt’s Agaplesion Markus Hospital, 28-29 September, for Healthcare live! Healthcare live! - a conference designed to address exciting opportunities in the healthcare sector such as supply chain digital interconnectivity, unique device identification, master data quality and more. A 640-bed hospital, Agaplesion Markus is one of the leading healthcare facilities in the Rhine-Main area in Germany.
The purpose of the conference centred on sharing knowledge and ideas in order to increase the level of integration between logistics and procurement processes, and, in doing so, accelerate the pace of innovation within healthcare environments.

The agenda included numerous lectures, discussions and practical workshops as well as tours of the Agaplesion Markus logistics centre with “live” views of the barcode-based OR procedure. The GS1 Healthcare Award 2016 was also presented during a special evening ceremony.
