GS1 works with the following organisations:
Association for Automatic Identification and Mobility (AIM Global)

AIM Global is the global trade association for the Automatic Identification and Data Capture (AIDC) industry. GS1 liaises with AIM Global and many GS1 Member Organisations and national AIM offices cooperate closely. The purpose of these contacts is to ensure that GS1 Member Organisations and their member companies are aware of developments in the field of automatic identification and that the products supplied by AIM members support and meet the requirements of GS1 standards.
Current initiatives include a Webinar sponsored by AIM Global and presented by GS1 on the state of the healthcare industry and standards development. Also as of Jan 2009 GS1 is writing a column for the AIM Connections Newsletter to inform the Solution Provider members of AIM Global of the new standards and to encourage them to have products ready when the standards are ratified.
