The Global Standards Management Process (GSMP) is the global forum where users bring business needs that require standard based solutions to create an efficient Supply Chain. GSMP provides a comprehensive set of methods and rules for the GS1 Community and affected industry groups to lead in the creation of globally agreed upon standards and guidelines. GS1 strives to develop royalty-free standards to the best of its ability.
