Aerospace & Defence Industry User Group

The A&D IUG works on business need definition to develop user driven standards to enhance key processes in the A&D industries.

The A&D IUG evaluates user needs that may be addressed by enhancing the GS1 System by creating new system components (standards, guidelines, etc.) or enhancing existing system components.

Upon receipt of a Work Request (WR) containing high-level information on an A&D-related business need, the IUG evaluates the need and develops a Statement of Business Need document outlining the business justification for the required action.
