Intellectual property (IP) refers to a variety of protective laws and regulations about inventions, literary and artistic works, symbols, names, images, and designs used in commerce.
Copyrights, trademarks, patents, industrial design rights and trade secrets are some of the manifestations of intellectual property.
Intellectual property laws can grant their owners certain exclusive rights to their creations.
