Global Product Classification (GPC)

The GS1 GPC is a system that gives buyers and sellers a common language for grouping products in the same way, everywhere in the world. The official (normative) GPC schema and GPC browser information is published in Oxford English. Both the schema and the browser information are translated to other languages.

GPC - Currently in production in GDSN

This version of GPC Standards is currently in production (published June 2012, implemented Dec 2012). 

• GPC Publication Schema (01 Jun 2012: Excel and XML format)
• GPC Publication Browser (01 Jun 2012: Browser-based format, includes translations)

GPC - Project GDSN Deployment June 2013

This is the most recent version of the GPC Standards, but is not yet in GDSN production (pending ratification).
