Eucomed
Eucomed is the voice of the medical technology industry in Europe. Eucomed represents directly and indirectly 4,500 designers, manufacturers and suppliers of medical technology used in the diagnosis, prevention, treatment and amelioration of disease and disability. Small and medium size companies make up more than 80% of this sector. The European medical technology industry invests an average of 6,4% of sales in R&D and employs nearly 400.000 highly skilled workers. The mission of Eucomed is to improve patient and clinician access to modern, innovative and reliable medical technology.

European Association of Hospital Pharmacists (EAHP)
The European Association of Hospital Pharmacists is a Federation of national associations of hospital pharmacists. Its European membership includes more than 21,000 professionals. EAHP’s aim is to establish a common pharmaceutical policy in Europe. It represents the interest of the profession at the European level, contributes to the scientific development of hospital pharmacy and to the advancement of the position and role of the pharmacists in hospitals.

IHF
The International Hospital Federation (IHF) is an international, non-governmental organisation, supported by members from over 100 countries, including 74 ministries of health and national and regional hospital associations. As the worldwide umbrella body for hospitals and Healthcare organisations, it develops and maintains a spirit of cooperation and communication, with the primary goals of improving patient safety and promoting health in underserved communities.

Standards Organisations
HL7
Founded in 1987, Health Level Seven, Inc. is a not-for-profit, ANSI-accredited standards developing organisation dedicated to providing a comprehensive framework and related standards for the exchange, integration, sharing, and retrieval of electronic health information that supports clinical practice and the management, delivery and evaluation of health services. HL7’s more than 2,400 members represent approximately 500 corporate members, including 90% of the information systems vendors serving Healthcare.

International Health Terminology Standards Development Organisation (IHTSDO)
IHTSDO is an international not-for-profit organisation based in Denmark. which owns and administers the rights to SNOMED CT and other health terminologies and related standards. SNOMED Clinical Terms® (SNOMED CT®) is a structured Healthcare terminology, consisting of more than 300,000 unique medical concepts, which provides the foundation for electronic health records.

ISBT / ICCBBA
ICCBBA is a not-for-profit information standards body committed to enhancing safety for patients through standardisation. ICCBBA was established in 1995 by the International Society for Blood Transfusion in order to manage ISBT 128, a new global information standard for blood transfusion. In 2000, the scope of the ISBT 128 standard was extended to include cellular therapy and tissue transplantation products.
ISBT 128 provides a globally unique donation identification number, internationally agreed product codes, and a range of data structures for encoding critical specialist information.

International Standards Organisation (ISO)
GS1 plays an active role in a number of ISO groups with ISO/IEC/JTC1/SC31 being the most important. ISO/IEC JTC1/SC31 is focused on Automatic Identification and Data Capture (AIDC). The secretariat for ISO/IEC JTC1/SC31 is provided by GS1 US (through the American National Standard Institute) and many GS1 Member Organisations take part in this process at all levels.
