CH2

At the CH2 Sydney warehouse, delegates will see a fully integrated scan pick pack warehouse using GS1 standards. Visitors will be able to see both a Pharmaceutical wholesaler and Medical consumables / device wholesaler operating under the one roof. CH2 use GS1 bar codes (both GTINs and where possible Serial Shipping Container Codes - SSCCs) provided by suppliers throughout their receiving and put way operations. GS1 bar codes are also used for picking and packing, and SSCCs are applied to outbound logistics units. In addition CH2 have implemented GS1 eMessaging standards for both GS1 EANCOM and GS1 XML, and use these standards with as many suppliers and customers as possible.

NSW Health

NSW Health was the first Australian Healthcare buyer using the data from the Australia’s healthcare implementation of the GS1 Global Data Synchronisation Network (GDSN), the National Product Catalogue (NPC). This data is foundational to the NSW Health processes, so delegates attending this site visit will see how this data is brought from the NPC into the NSW Health data staging area and then validation undertaken. The process for incorporation of GDSN data into the NSW Health internal systems will be overviewed and then a demonstration of how this data is used within the NSW Health business provided.
