Healthcare Traceability Survey
The survey is now closed. Many thanks to those who participated!
Over the last two years GS1 Healthcare members have been documenting business requirements for the pharmaceutical Traceability use cases: Chain of Custody and Chain of Ownership (e.g. Pedigree).
These business requirements have been assessed by technical experts and a number of technical models proposed.
We are now seeking review and feedback on these models from the wider healthcare community (manufacturers, distributors, retail pharmacies, hospitals, industry associations and any others that might be involved in meeting Pedigree regulations).
What should I do?
- If you are a stakeholder, or if you are in one way or another involved in a Healthcare Traceability process, please take a few minutes to review the technical models video presentation and then answer the survey (it should only take a few minutes to complete). The survey is now closed, but you can download a PDF to see the questions.
- If you are member from a GS1 Member Organisation (MO), please forward this survey to the healthcare community in your country and ask the stakeholders to review the technical models video presentation and participate in the survey. The survey is now closed, but you can download a PDF to see the questions.
- If you are a trading association, regulatory body, or any other association involved in meeting pedigree regulations, please forward this survey to your healthcare community, asking the stakeholders to review the technical models video presentation and participate in the survey. The survey is now closed, but you can download a PDF to see the questions.
Background
The two pharmaceutical Traceability use cases discussed by the GS1 Healthcare Members are: Chain of Custody and Chain of Ownership:
- Chain of Custody is a record of Organisations, entities and/or locations that have had and currently have physical possession of the product. The objective is for Trading Partners to be able to document the Product attributes and all other Trading Partners / Traceability Partners involved in the Chain of Custody.
- Chain of Ownership is a record of Organisations, entities and/or locations that have had and currently have legal title of the product. The objective is for Trading Partners to be able to document the Product attributes, and all other Trading Partners / Traceability Partners involved in the Chain of Ownership.
