How to implement a Data Quality Management System (DQMS)

A Data Quality Management System is a set of internal processes and best practices that guarantee that good, reliable data is created and maintained through its flow in the supply chain. The implementation of a DQMS is also a great way to identify internal opportunities in processes.

The Data Quality Framework prescribes the requirements for an efficient and effective DQMS.

Organisations can choose the best approach to a DQMS as they can focus on particular processes more relevant for them. Additionally, a DQMS can be build into any existing processes as an enhancement, thus it will minimise implementation costs at the time it supports and solidifies the adoption of the GS1 System.

For further information on how to implement a DQMS please refer to the Data Quality Framework and its support documentation.
