UDI Data Quality Specialist (CONSULTANT)

Position Summary: 

The UDI data Quality Specialist has the key responsibility to identify data inconsistencies in order to enable improving GS1 related data quality in the US FDA UDI DataBase (i.e. GUDID). The specialist will work closely with the GS1 Healthcare team and the GS1 data analytics team members. An important aspect of this role will be improving the accuracy of the GS1 identifiers (i.e. GTIN) registered in the GUDID, by analysing regular reports and using the tools developed by the GS1 data analytics team members.

Responsibilities: 

Participation in special project to analyse and improve data quality, including but not limited to:

  • Analyse the monthly report of GUDID data and related GS1 data, in effort to identify any data quality issues
  • Support implementation of GS1 data quality processes and strategies to improve data accuracy of GS1 related data in the GUDID
  • Other related duties as assigned

Education/Experience: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in data focused discipline preferred.  Associate’s degree with relevant work experience is acceptable
  • Previous data quality experience
  • Proficient use of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Access, Outlook, Smartsheets)
  • Internet research skills and experience

This job may require up to 5% global travel.
