The Standards for the GDSN Major Release 3 are frozen. This means that no new requirements or functionality can be added to the standard. Any changes to Business Message Standard (BMS) documentation will be queued for formal standards review after the network migration in May 2016.
Implementation guidance and migration documentation can be updated for errata. Individual validation rules can be temporarily suspended if their implementation will negatively impact data synchronisation. The suspended validation rules may be adjusted and implemented post Major Release go-live, after the corresponding BMS GDSN validation rules document has been updated.
The Major Release 3 Removed Validation document is now available on the GDSN website it contains the validation rules which have been temporarily suspended as being unimplementable, and shall not be used for Major Release implementation. This document is a companion document to the Validation Rules BMS on the GDSN website.
The Major Release 3 Removed Validation document may be updated on a weekly basis to insure expediency to the community.
NOTE: The BMS Validations document will be updated with the struck through of those validations removed at the end of each month. Click here to access the document.
Data Pools: It is recommended that all data pools register new customers after the Major Release.
Recipients: It is recommended to increase technical and business support prior to the May 6-12 2016 migration period.

Data Pools should have finalized or be nearing finalization on Migration Documentation for their Solution Providers.
Solution Providers should have finalized or be nearing completion on Migration Documentation for their Trading Partners.
Trading Partners should be developing their internal data Mapping/ Migration plans based on the Migration Documentation provided by their Data Pool/ Solution provider. Trading Partners should currently be working with their Data Pool and/or Solution Providers to Schedule Testing.
