Ms. Kyoungja Lee, General Director of the Korea Pharmaceutical Information Service, Health Insurance Review & Assessment Service, shared the history and process of pharmaceutical serialisation in Korea. Ms. Lee also noted that all drugs distributed in the Korean market should have global standards-based barcodes (96% of current products) or RFID tags (4% of current products), which hold the Korea Drug Code for the reimbursement of claims.
