Thanks to its collaboration with the Mahidol University, GS1 Thailand was involved in December 2016 in the 7th International Conference on Operations and Supply Chain Management, held in Phuket, Thailand.

With representatives from 34 countries, this global event enabled GS1 Thailand, with the assistance of Tania Snioch from GS1 Global Office, to inform the attendees about GS1 standards and their role in healthcare. GS1 Thailand has been working with the Healthcare & Logistics Supply Chain Excellence Centre (LogHealth) at Mahidol University regarding use of GS1 standards for drug identification and information sharing.
