The International Forum on Quality and Safety in Healthcare

The IHI (Institute for Healthcare Improvement) and the British Medical Journal (BMJ)’s International Forum on Quality and Safety in Healthcare, that took place in London on 26-28 April 2017, is one of the world’s largest conferences for healthcare professionals committed to improving patient care and safety. The Forum connected up to 3,000 healthcare leaders and practitioners from over 70 countries and provided an inspirational setting to meet, learn and share knowledge in the common mission to improve the quality and safety of care for patients and communities across the world.

Plenary sessions, workshops and poster sessions were organised in five streams (Building Capability and Leadership; Population and Public Health; Person and Family-Centred Care; Quality, Cost and Value; Safety.) GS1 UK and the Royal Derby Hospital presented a poster in the stream Quality, Cost and Value. All posters presented at the event will be included in the post-conference publications, including in the BMJ.
