Associate Professor Dr. Duangpun Kritchanchai is with the Healthcare Supply Chain Excellence Centre, Centre of Logistics Management and a member of the Faculty of Engineering, Mahidol University, Thailand. Dr. Duangpun Kritchanchai shared the outcome of research aimed to improve the healthcare supply chain. She said that the stakeholders should identify the uniqueness of drugs and medical materials to communicate throughout the supply chain and develop a single data pool to provide standard data that is useable by all players in the supply chain. The Global Trade Item Number® (GTIN®) is used as a primary key to access the drug information in the data pool, DRUGNET.
