GS1 is engaged with policy makers at the global, regional and national levels. We work with global organisations such as the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD), the World Health Organisation (WHO), the United Nations (UN) and the World Customs Organisation (WCO). At the regional level we are engaged with government organizations including the European Commission (EC), the Asia Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) forum, and the Organisation of American States (OAS). GS1 Member Organisations in 110+ countries work directly with their government to address policy needs for a wide range of issues.
